James "Beavis" Christopher Barton Sr.

James “Beavis” Christopher Barton Sr., 47 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
Beavis was a fun loving, jokester, that was always up for a good laugh. He would give you the shirt off your back, but then complain or tell you all about it. He loved his children, nieces, and nephews, and enjoyed family get togethers. He was good son, fantastic brother and a great dad. He was loved by and will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to send a special thank you to his nephew, Anthony Anaya, for helping take care of him when he needed it the most.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, James and Regina Pugh.
Beavis is survived by his mother and step-father, Barbara and Mike King; his children, James Barton Jr., Issabella Barton, Rebecca Carter, and Savanah Carter; his siblings Madonna Mason (Ninnie), Keena Pugh (Teddy Cravens), Mary Pugh (Christopher Cravens), James “Petey” Griffey (Denise), Michael “Chubs” Barton (Carla), Todd Griffey (Stacey), Melissa Suleiman (Kel), Wendell Barton (Amanda), and Jessica Ndiaye (Dale).
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
