Herbert Junior Brooks

Herbert Junior Brooks, 74 of Corbin, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 21 at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin.
Herbert was born and raised in Shepherdsville, before moving to Corbin around 25 years ago. He was a gun and knife enthusiast and enjoyed his western movies. He was a fun-loving man that cherished spending time and joking around with his family and friends. He loved cookouts, playing horseshoes, and anything that had to do with working on his cars and trucks.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents James and Ida Mae Brooks. He is survived by his wife of over 35 years Mary Lou Brooks; his daughters Vicky Garrison (Ken) and Delila Navarro both of Gray, Kentucky and Joie Ledington (Everette) of Corbin, Kentucky; his brothers Johnie, David and Joseph Brooks, all of Shepherdsville; his sisters Margie Karger of Shepherdsville and Barbara McCubbins of Lebanon Junction; along with many grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews, he loved picking on them all!
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with cremation to follow.
Visitations will Thursday from noon until the time of service.
