Heidi Diane Cook, 53 of Louisville, passed away at Norton Women and Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, with her family by her side.
Heidi was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Louisville with her family 19 year ago. She was a Christian by faith, as her and her husband were pastors with the assemblies of God in the state of Kentucky. For the last few years, they have been serving and traveling through the state, filling in as interim pastors at various churches. She loved Jesus and loved others like Jesus. She always put others’ needs above her own. Even with her illness, she was focused more on taking care of others.
She was a loving mother and very proud of her family. Being a wife, mother and grandmother were the highlights of her life and was what she lived for. She absolutely loved Walt Disney World. She spent her free time planning her next Disney trip and spent time on her current trips planning the next one. An excellent cook, preparing delicious meals was one of the ways she expressed love for others.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Robert “Bob” R. PerDue; her sister, Kathleen PerDue; and an infant grandchild that she is rejoicing with today.
Heidi is survived by her selfless, loving, passionate and supportive husband of nearly 35 years, Dr. Stanley Cook; her children Katelyn Vittitow (Caleb), Caleb Cook (Erin), Jacqueline Smith (Joshuah), and Abigail Steele (Jacob); her mother, Barbara PerDue; her siblings Darlene Miller (Kevin) and Robert “Bobby” PerDue; her grandchildren Allison and Ben Vittitow, Silas Steele; as well as grandbaby Cook, that Heidi was overjoyed to know was on the way.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Evangel World Prayer Center on Billtown Road. Burial will follow at Crosswater Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
