Hazel Ann Hodge Shelton, 75 of Shepherdsville passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Hazel was a Jehovah Witness by faith and attended services at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Shepherdsville. Hazel was a homemaker; she also dabbled in interior design and had an eye for detail. She and her daughter Laura loved watching Gone with the Wind and collecting movie memorabilia together. She also loved her Coca-Cola. Hazel was a character, that could only be described as a spitfire personality. Hazel was the matriarch of the family, ruling her household with love and compassion, she put her family, children, and grandchildren above all. She was an amazing woman, and she will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Johnny Shelton Sr.; her parents Elvin Hodge and Mary Durham Hodge; siblings Elvin Ray, Melvin, and Larry Hodge; along with her special nephew Chris Hodge.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura Jean Coble and her husband Clifford Michael Coble, and Johnny Earl Shelton Jr.; ex daughter-in-law Ali Porter; grandchildren David Louis Miller and his wife Kelley, Jacob Zachary Miller and his wife Meghan, Johnathan Blake Miller, Jonathan Shelton, Christina Wise, Briana Wise Dylan Spenneberg, Joseph and Jordan Shelton; great-grandchildren Sarah Prater, Morgan, Miller, Maddie Miller, Logan Miller and Fiona Miller; brother Steve Hodge; sister-in-law Judy C. Hodge; along with many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; Susan Morgan her special friend and cousin whom is more like a sister to her; along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Vine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Maraman Billings Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
