Gobel Lee Newsome

Gobel Lee Newsome, 83 passed away at his home after and illness on Friday, April 30, 2021.
He was a native of Pikeville, Kentucky and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pikeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elish Newsome and Rhoda Mullin Newsome, his siblings Andy and Herschel McCray, Delbert and Kenneth Newsome, Sadie McDaniel and Debbie Gorman.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Newsome of Shepherdsville, his children Jerry Newsome of Thomasville, NC, Michael Newsome of Shepherdsville, Gobel L. Newsome, Jr and his wife Kim of Shepherdsville, Brian Phillip Newsome of Salem, KY and Paul Newsome and his wife Britney of Shepherdsville, his sisters Tennessee Elswick of Pikeville and Arizona Kiser and her husband Arnold of Pikeville, his grandchildren Stephanie Hardin of Louisville, Edna Newsome of Shepherdsville, Shana Martin of Louisville, Matthew Newsome of Shepherdsville, Kelsey Smith of Prospect, Brianna Newsome of Shepherdsville, his great grandchildren Sarin, Joseph, Lexie, Shayla, Brayden, Ann, Carson, Gracie, Caroline and Hudson.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Wolford officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 pm and Wednesday from 9 a.m till time of Service at the funeral home.
