Gladys Shelton, 95 of Shepherdsville passed Sunday December 18, 2011 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
She was a native of Bullitt County and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents John Wesley and Sudie Eddington, her husband John P. Shelton, a son Johnny E. Shelton, Jr., 4 brothers Howard, Hilary, John Henry and Carl Eddington, three sisters Hattie Maraman, Bertha Dawson and Judy Eddington.
She is survived by her children Leona Wells, Jean Pearl (Jay) of Shepherdsville, Bill Shelton of Bardstown, Dale Higbee (Don), Clifford Shelton (Joan) of Bardstown and Kenny Shelton of Shepherdsville, her siblings Kenneth Eddington and Patsy Troutman both of Shepherdsville, 18 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Jackson and Bro. Rusty Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Visitation will be on Tuesday 1-8 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
