George Thomas Dishon Sr.

George Thomas Dishon Sr., 64 of Shepherdsville passed away at his home Wednesday, December 25, 2019 with his family by his side.
He was a Baptist by faith, an Army Veteran and a member of the VFW Post Salt River. He enjoyed collecting coins, his dogs, joking around, stories, the ID Channel and old country music. He especially enjoyed his time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothy Dishon; his siblings Betty Brooks, Billy “Jaybird” Dishon and Charles Dishon.
George is survived by his children George Dishon Jr., Sarah Lynn Dishon, Jason Lee Dishon, Austin Ray Dishon all of Shepherdsville and Elizabeth Nichole Dishon of Vine Grove; his siblings Wanda Dishon (Tony) of Louisville, John “Con” Dishon of Muldraugh, James “Mousey” Dishon (Norma) of Lebanon Junction, Samuel “Sammy” Dishon (Brenda) of Shepherdsville, Stanley Louis Dishon and Michael “Mike” Dishon Sr., of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren Ana Dishon, Delilah Hodge, Emilee Hodge and Aleeah Dishon; along with Darlene and James “Jim” McClelland, John Hodge and Letitia Hodge, Debbie Pearsall and a niece Sophia Dishon; along many other family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitations will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m., Sunday 2-8 p.m. and Monday 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
