George Thomas Cox, 64 of Shepherdsville passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.
He was disciplined as well as talented, he provided for his family working as a self-employed carpenter. He was a man of honorable character that valued the importance of family. He enjoyed nights spent with family and friends, having dinner and drinks, sharing stories, laughs, and music. George was affectionately known as the World’s Greatest Poppy. He was a loving father, brother, and Poppy, his absence will be deeply felt by all that knew him.
George was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Amanda Mann; and his grandchild Jacob Cox.
George is survived by his son Jason Cox and his wife Jennifer of Shepherdsville; siblings Joe Cox of Shepherdsville, Bill Cox of Texas, Becky Mann and Paula Whitaker both of Shepherdsville; grandchildren Austin Cox, Cameron Cox and Ella Cox; great grandchild Waylon Cox; along with additional family members and friends.
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services. A private celebration of George’s life will be shared by the family.
