Frankie Sadler Slaughter, 91 of Zoneton, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Inspirations of Mt. Washington, with her family by her side.
Frankie was a Baptist by faith and a member of Thixton Lane Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and never met a stranger. She volunteered for the Red Cross. She belonged to the Zoneton Homemakers and enjoyed quilting. She also liked fishing with her late husband, square dancing, and singing.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Virgil M. Slaughter, Jr.; her parents, Robert F. and Georgie Ethel Sadler; her son, Richard L. Slaughter; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Slaughter; her brother, Johnny Sadler.
Frankie is survived by her children, Linda J. Fogle (Sherley Terry), Robert E. Slaughter, Raymond K. Slaughter (Deborah), and Lisa A. Hester (Neil); her siblings, Billy Sadler and Alice Trunnell; along with eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Veatch officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
