Frances Hardy, a long-time resident of Shepherdsville, left this life January 18, at the age of 95. She loved her community and living here.
Daughter of John and Clara Baugh, she did her best to help her family, whenever they needed it.
She married the love of her life, Jimmie Hardy, in the mid 1940’s. They had one son, Sam Hardy in 1951.
She helped make a success of their furniture business which began in 1961. It was previously a hardware store. They started out small but grew into a well-known business, Henderson & Hardy. The employees knew her as a hard worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Norma Weller, known as Tink.
Her family and friends thank all of those who cared for her in the past 16 months, especially Enclave of East Louisville and Paula Harbin who made those days much happier.
Maraman-Billings handled the arrangements. There was no visitation and a private graveside service at Hebron Cemetery.
