Evelyn Manley, 92 of Shepherdsville, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at home with her family by her side.
Evelyn was a Christian by faith and a member of the Highview Church of God of Prophecy. A strong woman of faith, she was committed to her church’s missionary work and enjoyed the mission trips to the mountains. Evelyn was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she loved taking care of people in their time of need. She also enjoyed singing and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her first husband George Manley, as well as her second husband Charles Freeman; her parents George Monroe and Goldie Lancaster; her children David Manley, Dennis Manley, and Monica Manley; her siblings Elbert, Roger, Loretta, Benjamin, Hearl and Marion.
She is survived by her son Doug Manley and her daughter Denise Franklin (Curtis); her sister Ivy Johnson; along with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Brother Randy Pace officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
