Evelyn Laverne Auberry 70, of Lebanon Junction passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 peacefully with her family by her side.
Evelyn retired as a dispatcher for Jefferson Special Police. She was an animal lover, she cared for dogs, cats, and birds, keeping a menagerie too large to count. She enjoyed crocheting, stitching blankets, hats, scarfs, and gifts for her fur babies. Evelyn was an amazing cook; she took great pride in preparing meals for her loved ones. Evelyn knew that family was the most important thing in the world, she cherished every moment spent together making memories She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and sister.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her significant other of 19 years, David Voelker Sr.; her daughter Brooke Voelker; parents Melvin and Earline Auberry; and her brother Windle Auberry.
Evelyn is survived by her children Rosalind “Rosa” Voelker, David Voelker Jr. (Carol); and Jordan “Gator” Voelker; stepdaughter Amanda Pennington; siblings Rosalind “Jeanette” Blake; grandchildren Jackson Voelker, Nevaeh Voelker, and David Voelker III; nieces and nephews Geneva Jaco (Matt Jaco), Amber Jaco, Johnny Lee Jaco (Sierra Jaco), and Justin Jaco (Annalee Jaco); along with additional family members and friends.
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services.
