Ernest Ray Reading

Ernest Ray Reading, 69 of Shepherdsville, was surrounded by his family when he returned to his heavenly father on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
Ernest with a Christian by faith and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was a songwriter at heart that loved singing, playing his guitar, and disc jockeying in his spare time. Ernest was a hard-working man, a good husband, caring father, and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents James and Francis Reading, and his sister Armella Elder.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 51 years, Patricia Reading; his children Cindy Roundtree (Ted), Donna Wolf (Kevin), Ernest Reading Jr. (Nadine), and Stacy Agamenon (Paul) all of Shepherdsville; his siblings Darlene Quartermouse (Coleman), Melvin Reading (Karen) and Franking Reading (Michelle) all of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren Coty Lane, Nick Rountree, Joshua, Adam and Brook Nusz, Savannah and Amber Wolf, Bridgette and Jalen McKinnney, Noah Reading, Whitney Glass and Savannah Agamenon; his great-grandchildren Remi Lane, Kaden and Grayson Nusz, Rayna Livesay, Alena and Kayson Glass, and Peyton DeGrelle.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
