Douglas “Mack” McArthur Losch, 82 of Brooks went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, with his family by his side.
Doug was a member of Valley Station Church of God where he led various mission activities. He served in the U.S. Air Force, from 1960-1964. He was an avid wood worker, hunter, fisherman, leather craftsman. He enjoyed baseball and was an excellent tennis and softball player even up to the senior league. He hiked part of the Appalachian Trail and loved the outdoors with his favorite memory traveling to Mount Rainer National Park, Washington State. He was an avid reader of God’s Word and lived by it daily.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Ethel Mae Losch; his infant daughter Dawn Marie Losch; his siblings Elmer Losch, Helen Sprinkles, Fredia Ferguson, Charles Losch, Kenny Losch, Albert Losch and Jean Dow.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Losch; his daughters Dione Morris (Tim) of Louisville, Darla Warren of Mount Washington, and Chris Burgin (Trey) of Campbellsville; his siblings Victor Hodge, Roger Losch, and Phyllis Oller; his grandchildren Justin Warren, Sara Colyer, Matthew Fields, Mitchel Warren, Haley Underwood, Bella Schutt, Tyler Morris, Jacob Morris, Walter Burgin, Victoria Burgin, and Mina Burgin; along with 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bullitt Lick Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
