Douglas “Doug” Scott Rumsey, 58 of LaGrange, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a Pentecostal by faith and faithfully served his Lord as an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God for over 30 years. From LaGrange to Liberia, he was on fire for Jesus, to the point of even leading people to Christ in the nursing home. Doug was a fun-loving husband who led by example in showing his family how to live for and follow Jesus. Even in his worst times he always put others needs before his own. He will be remembered for always being positive and uplifting, for his unconditional love, and as the silver lining in his family.
Doug is preceded in death by his father Andy Rumsey Sr. He is survived by his faithful wife of over 34 years Sherri Rumsey; his children Isaiah Rumsey and his fiancé Amberly, Charity Stucker (David), Elisha Rumsey (Jessica), Jeremiah Rumsey, Zechariah Rumsey (Nicole) and Grace Rumsey and her fiancé Trevor; his mother Alma Rumsey; his brother Andy Rumsey Jr., along with 10 grandchildren that he loved dearly.
Funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 4th at LaGrange Assembly of God, 2109 W. Hwy. 146 LaGrange, KY 40031, with Pastor Barry Broyles officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
