Donald Lee Roby Sr. 68 of Shepherdsville passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 with his family by his side.
Donald was a Catholic by faith. He was a proud KY Colonel that loved to fish, hunt and spend time in his garden or mowing grass, when he wasn’t watching Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Roby; his former wife Rosemary Williams; his son Gary Roby; his siblings Lyman Roby, Hallie Mudd and Betty England.
Donald is survived by his children Kim Schroeder (Scott) of Elizabethtown, Don Roby Jr. (Jennifer) of Mt. Washington and Kelly Shirley (Jim) of Taylorsville; his brother Robert Roby (Linda) of Shepherdsville; grandchildren TJ Rountree (Carrie), Ashleigh Rountree, Kolton Sneed, Preston Roby, Sawyer Sneed, Christopher Newsome and Mallory Roby; great-grandchildren Isabella Rountree, Trey Rountree, Hunter Kirby, Carley Rountree, Sofia Kirby and Rylie Roby; along with his beloved dog Sam.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitations will be Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. and Thursday 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
