Donald Maurice Newman Sr., 72 of Fairdale, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital.
Donald was a Christian by faith and a member of Kenwood Church of Christ. He was a mechanic by trade and loved his woodworking and working on his motorcycle. Above all else, he was a great family man and loved spending time with his family, and he considered everyone at Kenwood Church of Christ to be his family as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Alice Newman, along with his siblings Melvin Jr. and Patty.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years Jenny; his sons Donald Maurice Newman Jr. and Christopher Paul Newman; his siblings Robert, Douglas, Susan, and Marlene; and his niece Sara Lee Newman Jones, who was like a daughter to him.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Justin Hornback officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
