Derrick Maurice Jackson Wagner

Derrick Maurice Jackson Wagner, 30 of Jeffersonville, passed away after an illness on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Norton Hospital.
Derrick was a Catholic by faith and worked various jobs to support his family. He was a wonderful husband and father, a loving son and supportive brother. He loved life, and was a jokester, always making others laugh and smile. He was always dancing and singing to the beat of his own drum. He had an energy that would illuminate the room, he enjoyed hosting gatherings and cooking large meals, being surrounded by the people he loved. Derrick made family his number one priority, he loved top spoil his children, and made the effort to keep everyone together. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his child Damarcus Wagner.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Nicole Heenan Wagner; children Aaliyah Wagner, Derrick Wagner Jr., and Dominic Wagner; his parents Andrea Wagner and James Graham; his siblings DaQuan Wagner (Razhane) of Jeffersonville and DeAndre Wagner (Sabina) of Louisville; nieces and nephews DeAndre Wagner Jr. and Aminah Wagner both of Louisville; cousins Karmen Harrison and Lyric Sand both of Louisville; along with additional family members and friends.
The family will be hosting a memorial service on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. at Glory and Fire Worship Center, located at 8804 National Turnpike in Louisville.
