Dennis Clark " Kroger Man" Dewitt

Dennis Clark DeWitt, 70, of Shepherdsville, passed away on January 29, 2023, at Jewish Hospital after a brief illness. After 18 years at the Shepherdsville Kroger, Dennis was known as “Mr. Kroger Man.”

Dennis was a faithful member of Southeast Christian Church since 1992, retired from the Louisville Metro Parks, and was an avid model train enthusiast. He loved people, and he loved the Lord.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Thomas DeWitt and Doris Clark Mueller, and several siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Summers DeWitt of Shepherdsville; his stepson and his wife, Eric and Jennifer Elwell of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren Lane and Eden Elwell; his siblings Margaret Moore (Donald) of Louisville, Douglas Mueller (Margie) of Prospect, and Kenny Mueller.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4th, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Pastor Heath Barth officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. till the time of service.
