Delores May Lind

December 20, 1950 — May 16, 2023

Delores May Lind, 72 of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.
Delores was a Baptist by faith. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was skilled at handy work, she took on several remodeling projects, the demolition phase was her favorite part. Delores was said to be “hardheaded like a pit bull”; she liked things to be her way or no way. Despite her stubbornness, she was selfless and dependable. She would give you the shirt off her back. Delores enjoyed her morning coffee and Dr. Pepper. She was social, always talking on the phone, checking in on Facebook and social media. She liked to curl up and watch crime shows and love stories with her dogs Lacy & Lizzy by her side. Delores loved being on the water, lazy days spent fishing and swimming. She was happiest when she was with family, especially her grandkids. She was dearly loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her husbands James E. Cardwell and Douglas Lind; her son Jeremy Scott Lind; her parents, James and Febbie Cardwell; along with her siblings Virginia Ann Gaddis, Joe Cardwell, and Carol Grut.
Delores is survived by her sons, Tony Bond (Darlene) and Christopher Lind both of Louisville; siblings James A. Cardwell (Brenda) of Jeffersonville, Linda Eads (Joe) of Boston, Burley Thomas Cardwell (Brenda) of Jeffersonville, half siblings Lori Ann Cardwell and Angie Cardwell both of Louisville, and stepsister Cindy Cradwell; grandchildren Brook Jarrett, AJ, Allison, Brody, and Patience Lind, Charity Wilkins, Caleb and Devin Lind, Christina and Beth Cromer, Summer, Zachary, and Bently Goodman, Makenzie and Jordan Hardin; her nephews that she raised as her own children, Joe Colgate and David Cardwell; along with additional family members and friends
The family has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services and will be hosting a Celebration of Life at the Greenwood Boat Docks 8202 Greenwood Road in Louisville beginning at 1 p.m.
