David Franklin Holloway

April 6, 1964 — August 17, 2020

David Franklin Holloway, 56 of Shepherdsville passed suddenly Monday, August 17, 2020
He was a Baptist by faith, David enjoyed the beauty of life and all the scenery it has to offer. As a child, David traveled across the country on “learning vacations” with his mother and Charlie Edwards, who was like a father to him. He has visited every state except Alaska and Hawaii. Growing up, David loved hunting wild boar with his Mother, together, they climbed several trees hoping to escape the boars. David enjoyed rock music and was a boxer at one point in his life. The ocean was a special place for David, he was fond of swimming, surfing and watching the waves roll in. He was a fantastic fisherman in both fresh and salt water.
David is survived by his children Heather Hyllett Johnson, Alexandria Vickrey, Ryan Holloway and Chaz Holloway all of Florida, along with Cullen Holloway of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren Raven Gauge Royall, Jasmine Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Michael Vickrey of Florida; his mother Cythia Holloway of Florida, stepmother J.J. Pierce, father Sammy Ward; grandmother Loucile Holloway; uncle Charles Holloway, aunts Donna Holloway and Susan Dowdy; along with many other family members and dear friends.
The family has chosen cremation with a private ceremony to take place in Florida at a later date.
