Daniel Josiah Rettig, 39, of Louisville, KY, passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday Sept 27, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Believers Church, 7905 Smyrna Parkway, Louisville, KY 40228 on Thursday, Sept 30th. Visitation will take place starting at 5:30 PM followed by a service at 7 PM.
Daniel was born on August 17, 1982, in Buffalo, NY and on August 16, 2003, he married his high school sweetheart who was the love of his life, Kersandra Ellen Norgrove. They were blessed with three beautiful children Caden, Kierra, & Sheanna.
Daniel was passionate about his walk with the Lord, his family, and he loved people deeply. He could never pass up an evening full of hanging out with family and friends. He was also an avid music lover and enjoyed playing many different musical instruments. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and genuine personality. He was a man of multiple talents and held many positions; some would say he was a jack of all trades.
Daniel was a founding member (Vice President) of the local Louisville Chapter of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP), a very dedicated Trainer and a member of the local education committee. He also served as a Vice President of Mortgage Sales at Republic Bank and served as a member of the CEO Advisory Council. He served as the Mortgage Sales trainer and a board member at BsideU for Life. He spent countless hours coaching and mentoring anyone that needed assistance both professionally and personally.
Daniel is survived by his bride, Kersandra, and their three children, Caden, Kierra, and Sheanna. His parents, Don Rettig and Erin Greene Rettig, Grandmother Irene Rettig, siblings Caitlin (Shane) Zach (Becca) Jourdan (Jeff), Christopher, Jack, Piper, Finn, Emerson, mother in-law Sandy, sister-in-law Amber (Keith), brother in-law Brandon (Emily) 14 nephews or nieces and so many more family and friends.
We are completely heartbroken that you are no longer with us on earth, but we are rejoicing with you as you dance on streets of gold with our Heavenly Father, your creator and all because years ago, you chose Him as your personal Lord and Savior. You are greatly loved and forever missed.
