Clara L. Varney

Clara L. Varney 79 of Shepherdsville passed away after an illness at her home on Thursday October 31, 2013.
She was a Methodist by faith and a retired employee of Brown and Williamson.
She was preceded in death by a her parents Thomas and Mary Spivey, a stepson Timothy Varney and her siblings Joseph and James Spivey and Dorothy Morgeson.
She is survived by her husband Kelly Varney, her children Terry W. Stayton (Susan), Patrick Stayton (Mindy) and Deborah Wheatley (Mike), and her stepchildren Todd K. Varney of Nashville TN, Tammy G. Hatfield (Danny) of Charlestown, WV, her siblings Nina Mattingly, Peggy Weckman, Edward Spivey and Martha A. Jones of Mobile, AL, 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to Hosparus Nurse Kristi Lawrence.
Memorial Service will be on Tuesday at 7 p.m at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with a Memorial Gathering from 5-7 p.m. before the service. A private burial will take place at a later date.
