Charles Thomas Wood, Sr. of Shepherdsville passed away on Friday May 27, 2011 at home his family by his side.
He was a faithful Baptist, a retired heavy equipment operator with the old Matsuda Bridge Company and a member of IUOE Local 181.
He is survived by his children Beverly Bowling (Eddie) of Shepherdsville, Charles Wood Jr. of Bardstown, Margie Crigler of Shepherdsville, Carol Ruley (Ricky) of Raywick, Sandy Tinnell (Brian) of Shepherdsville and Leigh Ann Snawder (Travis) of Shepherdsville, his siblings Louise Hash (Gary), Bobby Wood (Marie) of Georgia and Terry Wood (Norma) of Shepherdsville along with fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday from 3–8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
