Charles M. “Chuck” Hatfield, 61 of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at U of L Hospital in Louisville.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Lawrence Phillips; sister Debbie Hatfield McGruder; cousin Cody Hatfield; grandparents Jim and Olive Hatfield.
He is survived by his daughter Jaime Renee Blanc; father Charles E. Hatfield; stepmother Carol Hatfield; grandchildren McKenzie and Tyler Blanc; Uncles Larry (Jamie) Hatfield and Jim (Glenna) Hatfield; Cousins Kristen Schmidt and Jessica Griffin.
Chuck was involved for many years in addiction recovery work. He served as a peer mentor at the Healing Place in Louisville and was instrumental in the opening of Transitions Grateful Life Center in Erlanger and the Healing Place in Campbellsville. He was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church and originated the AA meeting there. Chuck was a painter by trade and worked several years as custodian of his church. He was an avid bow hunter and loved to deer hunt with his dad. He invented a special camouflage pattern “Chameleon Camo” and marketed it at trade shows in the 90’s. He also loved music and played the base guitar.
The family would like to thank the Campbellsville Christion Church for their continued support to Chuck, also to Jeff Bland and the guys that rescued him during the many hard times.
Visitation at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville on Tuesday from 2-6 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Rodney Booe officiating. Interment to follow in Hebron Cemetery.
