Charles Elmer Barnes 89 of Shepherdsville passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2021 after an illness at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
He was a retired cement finisher, an Air Force Veteran and a member of Knob Creek Union Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Barnes, his parents Ruby and Dan Elmer Barnes, a son Ernest Ray Barnes and his siblings Dan Raymond and Linda Eads.
He is survived by his children JoAnne Barnes of Shepherdsville, Danny (Trina) Barnes of Shepherdsville, Sandra Barnes of Shepherdsville, Kathleen Cornett (Gene) of North Chesterfield, VA, Charlie Barnes of Shepherdsville, David Barnes of Lebanon Junction, Calvin (Tina) Barnes of Lebanon Junction, Sam (Yana) Barnes of Bardstown and Tim Barnes of Shepherdsville, 20 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Knob Creek Union Church, 10439 KY-44, West Point, KY 40177 with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. till the time of service.
