Billie Jo Stargel

Billie Jo Stargel, 65 of Shepherdsville, passed away at Baptist Health Hospital on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Billie was a retired clerk from the Bullitt County courthouse where she served for over 20 years. She was a women’s auxiliary member of the American Legion post 157. She enjoyed her time at the VFW, working and socializing with all her friends. She was also an avid University of Kentucky fan and enjoyed traveling. Billie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, step-mother and loyal friend. She was loved by and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stargel and her brother, David Lee Cook.
Billie is survived by her mother, Barbara R. Cook; her son, Gary Dale Troutman Jr.; her stepchildren Daniel Stargel (Gina) and Deonna Colvin (Kevin); her siblings Drema C. Schweitzer (Anthony) and Harold Lloyd Cook Jr.; her grandson Gary Dale Troutman III; her step-grandchildren Ansley and Grayson Colvin; her great-granddaughter, Piper Celeste Troutman; her niece Anna R. Schweitzer McHone (Joel Sr.); her great-nephews Joel Jr., William, and Brett McHone.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home. With burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
