Dr. Beverly "Bev" Coe Moser, also known as "B.C." Moser, 84, of Shepherdsville, passed away on May 25, 2012, because God needed another angel.
He was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Bardstown Junction to the late Coe H. and Mary Jane Trunnell Moser. He was a 1948 graduate of ElizabethtownHigh School, where he was a member of the football and basketball teams. He was a Korean War veteran, a graduate of the National University of Chiropractors, a member of the Bullitt County Lodge 155 F&AM and a member of the Lions Club for more than 50 years. He served as mayor of Shepherdsville for two terms.
He was a member of DavidsonMemorialMethodistChurch, where he was chairman of the pastor-parish committee, and he organized the first Boy Scouts of America troop in Shepherdsville under the direction of the church. He served as president of the Chiropractic Society as well as being on the board of directors for many years. He was the 2000 Doctor of the Year for the Kentucky Chiropractic Society. He was president of the Winnebago International Travel-ers for 10 years and a member of the Kentuckiana Under Water Exploration Society.
He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, William T. Moser in Belgium during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eva Jaggers Moser, of Shepherdsville; his children, Melanie Moser Thompson, of Elizabethtown,and Mark (Stephanie) Moser, of Centerfield; nine grandchildren, Victoria, Erik, Adam and Alex Thompson, Elizabeth Moser-Miller, Claudia, Samuel, Daniel and Nathaniel Moser; and his siblings, Robert (Irene) Moser, of Hillview, Elizabeth (James) Kirkman, of Seminole, Fla., and Mary Lou (Larry) Hall, of Elizabethtown.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville.
