Beverly Darlene (Askew) Cannon passed peacefully from this life on June 6, 2014 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.
Beverly was born on June 20, 1958 in Los Angeles, CA to Leslie Askew and Beverly (Owens) Alexander. She was a graduate of Washington High School's class of 1976.
Widely known as "the life of the party," Beverly was a strong woman who exuded kindness and found great joy in making the people around her happy. She loved to give to others and never met a stranger!
She maintained a positive attitude through any challenges placed before her. Her unwavering faith in God was the source of her strength. Bev provided a glowing example of how to live life through a commitment to Christ and family. She touched the world in a positive light in many ways, leaving a legacy of joy, devotion, and love.
Her children and grandchildren made her immensely proud. They anchored her life. She leaves to cherish her beautiful spirit her son Joshua, two daughters, Jeanee, and Jeanine, and son-in-law Enoch. In addition to her children, Bev is survived by her five grandsons, Jonathan, Erren, Jaydon, Evan, and Cameron, her mother Beverly, three brothers, Donzell, Charles, and Pascal, two sisters, Yvette, and Tiffanie, her niece Ebony, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Evangel World Prayer Center on Miners Lane in Louisville.
