Betty Jean Perkins

Betty Jean Perkins, 90, of Shepherdsville, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October , 2024, following an illness.

Betty was a dedicated retired nurse’s aide, serving in home health care, and was a cherished member of Vine Hill Baptist Church. Originally from Glasgow, Kentucky, she had a deep love for country music.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Silas J. Perkins, as well as her parents, Floyd and Lillian Forrest. Betty was also preceded in death by her children Richard Perkins, Brenda Allen, Michael Perkins, and Kevin Perkins, and her brothers Charles and Larry Forrest.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Judy Oulette (Hank), David Perkins, Phillip Perkins, Timmy Perkins (Julie), Patty Fulkerson (Austin) and her daughter in law JoAnn Perkins. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her 23 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Betty's life will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Bro. Greg Crenshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Vine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
