Bessie Agnes Brown

Bessie Agnes Brown, 77 of Shepherdsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022, with her family by her side.
Bessie was a Baptist by faith and a member of Clermont Baptist Church. She was an amazing woman that loved to spend time with her family, especially her favorite great-grandson, Kimron. She was a great cook, loved watching her sports and the news, but everyone knew that the days were planned around UK basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Pansy Phillips, along with her sisters Kathleen Burgin, Delores Quartermouse, Elizabeth Decker, and Barbara Sue Phillips
Bessie is survived by her beloved daughter Lisa Johnson; her siblings Eva VanVactor (Larry), Joyce Maulden (Skip), Faye Tatum and Irvin Phillips; her grandchildren DesaRay Johnson (Scott), Sherry “Bitty” Johnson (Kim); her great-grandson Kimron; her best friend Sam Brown. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Burial will follow at Vine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
