Beecher John Clemens Sr., 81 of Mt. Washington, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Baptist Health Louisville.
Beecher was a Methodist by faith. He retired from Philip Morris after 30 years as a machinist. Beecher proudly served in the United States Air Force, he was honored to keep our country safe. He enjoyed riding horseback on the trails and winding roads on his motorcycle. Beecher was tech savvy, spending hours in front of his computer. Beecher had an assertive strong personality but melted into a soft spoken, rule breaking grandfather in the presence of his grandchildren. The grandchildren could do no wrong, he cherished every moment spent with family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Satterly Clemens; parents, John and Mary Lou Clemens, along with his brother, Charles “Frankie” Clemens.
Beecher is survived by his children Beecher Clemens Jr. (Linda) of Louisville, Tim Clemens (Paula) of Shepherdsville, Pennie Lucas (John) of Shepherdsville, and Renee Bailey (Greg) of Louisville; siblings Jimmy Clemens (Judy), Larry Clemens, Timmy Lloyd Clemens (Mary), and Gary Clemens (Kelly); his beloved grandchildren Jonathan Clemens, Michael Clemens, Danielle Nelson, Kristen Collins, Savannah Parrish, Alexis Clemens, Cheyenne Clemens, Robert Lucas, Katherine Linton, Kelsey Wagner, and Lindsey Bailey; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and additional family members.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, with Pastor Jackie Ward officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the time of service.
