Barbara Rebecca Philpot Cook, 90 of Shepherdsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at St. Matthew Care Center, with her daughter by her side.
Barbara was a longtime employee of Publisher’s Printing. She enjoyed karaoke nights with family and friends. She loved all of her family dearly, but her biggest joy in life was found with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a spitfire and an amazing woman that was loved by, and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester G. and Annabelle Philpot; her children, David Lee Cook, and Billie Jo Stargel; her siblings, Bradley Philpot, Alice Philpot and Jimmy Ray Philpot.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Drema Schweitzer (Anthony); her son, Harold Lloyd Cook Jr.; her siblings, John Philpot (Eileen), Pete Philpot, Jerry Frederick (Dennis), and Pam Hall; her sister in law, Clara Philpot; her grandchildren, Gary Dale Troutman Jr., and Anna Schweitzer McHone (Joel Sr.); her great-grandchildren, Trey and Piper Troutman, Joel Jr., William, and Brett McHone; along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, with Bro. Carl Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
