Anna Francis Powell

Anna Francis Powell, 84 of Mt. Washington passed away at the Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center on July 18, 2021 with her family by her side.
Anna grew up in Grayson County. She was a catholic by faith and a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Peonia, Kentucky. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, her family knew her as a spitfire and force of nature. She was determined, never backed down, while at the same time was always praying continually for the ones she loved. If she was not spending time with family, at church, or playing bingo, you could find her in her garden tending to her flowers.
Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 65 years Charles Powell; her parents Martin “Wardie” and Annie Bradley; her daughters Vivian Roberts and Sharon Netherton; her siblings Buster, George, Sammy, Johnny, Dorothy, Rose and Suzie; her grandson Michael Taylor; her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Netherton and Heaven and Earth Maddox.
She is survived by her daughter Vicki Shivley; her siblings Father Ed Bradley and Mary Louise Patterson; her sister-in-law Wanda Bradley; her grandchildren Laura, Melissa, Rosie, Patricia and Teresa; her great grandchildren Amanda, Megan, Brionna, Patrick, Bradley, Yohonna, Bryan, Robert, Jonathan, Brayden and Alanna; along with five great-great grandchildren that she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Maraman Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Entombment will take place at Noon on Thursday, July 22 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
