Amelia Rose Bowman

Amelia Rose Bowman, 72 of Crestwood passed away at her home Friday, October 28, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was a Catholic by faith and a retired Nurse. Amelia was a doting caregiver, placing the needs of others above her own. She enjoyed baking, watching comedy and old Western shows, and reading romance novels. Amelia was spunky, she had an amazing gift for telling stories, she was happy recounting tales with her family gathered, intently listening as she shared her wisdom. She thrived being outdoors, embracing natures beauty, from the mountain tops to the wildflowers below. She loved family camping trips, walking trails, and nights around a campfire. The memories created together will forever be treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence “Larry” Bowman Jr; her parents Robert and Vera Halstead; siblings Larry Stump, Jerry Stump, Lawanda Stump, and Roberta Halstead; and granddaughter Amber Rose Becker.
Amelia is survived by her children Julie Ann Bowman and Angela Sue Bowman both of Louisville, and Darla Dawn Burbank (Fred Jr.) of Shepherdsville; grandchildren Cara Walls (Michael) and Fred Burbank III (Carolyn); along with additional family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Maraman Billings Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
