Alan Ray "Possum" Mattingly

Alan Ray "Possum" Mattingly 55 of Shepherdsville passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 9th 2013 with his family by his side.
Alan was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181 and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Florence Mattingly.
He is survived by his children Jason Mattingly (Amber Dwyer) and Gayla Bright (Junior) both of Shepherdsville; his siblings Nancy Bowman of Lebanon Junction, Jerry Mattingly of Louisville and Gary Mattingly of Shepherdsville; his grandchildren Jaycee Mattingly, Sadie Morris, Alexis Eddington, Heaven Spray, Spencer Mattingly, Kaylin Bright, Justin Bright and Dale Bright; his great grandson Chase Bright; his loving companion Shirley Corbett of Shepherdsville; he was previously married to Donna Mattingly of Shepherdsville; along with many friends and family.
Funeral Service will be Monday, January 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 6-8 p.m., Sunday from 12-8 p.m., Monday from 9-11 a.m.
