Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Baumgardner, 62, of Shepherdsville passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home.
Kenny enjoyed nature and being outdoors, he liked to hike, camp, and gaze upon the stars. He was sociable and made friends from all walks of life. He was an amazing chef, he loved to cook, and create enticing meals. Cooking is an act of love, it incorporates all of the senses, emotions, and actions, Kenny knew the way to the heart was through the stomach, he shared his love with every meal. He was musically gifted, a natural talent and self-taught guitarist, he could hit any chord with ease. Music was a big part of Kenny’s life, he was always humming or strumming a tune. His life reminds us to take in the beauty all around us, breathe in nature, taste exotic flavors, listen to the music flow, make time for those you love, and always step to the beat of your own drum. He will be dearly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Mary Baumgardner, along with his brothers Ralph and Randall Baumgardner.
Kenny is survived by his sisters Jean Huff (Thomas) of Shepherdsville, Chris Blaylock (Gary) of Big Clifty, Judy Grayson (Clifford) of Louisville, and Angie Bond of Harlan Co., along with his brother James Bond (Margaret) of Harlan Co., several nieces and nephews, additional family members and friends
