James Ronald Tubbs, 69 of Louisville passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
James was a Baptist by faith. He was a native of Memphis TN, he lived near the Gulf in Louisiana before settling his family in Louisville. He proudly served in the United States Navy and worked production for Marathon Oil Company. James was a home body, he enjoyed watching Westerns and stayed up to date with news programs. He was an avid sports fan; he cheered for the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, and Chicago Cubs. He was a loving father to his sons Brandon and Philip.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia Bailey Tubbs; parents Stanley and Margie Tubbs; along with his siblings Woody and Norma Jean Tubbs.
James is survived by his sons Brandon and Philip Tubbs both of Louisville; his siblings Janice Brewer of Columbia, SC, Laura Lindsey of Knoxville, TN, Alice Smith (Paul) of Jackson, TN, and Ricky Tubbs (Carol) of Jackson MS; along with additional friends and family.
The family of Mr. Tubbs has entrusted Maraman Billings Funeral Home with cremation services.
